The Question:

Will the women's workout w/o weights help me lose weight or will it just help tone and shape my body?

The Answer:

The women's workout (without equipment) will help to tone and shape your body. This also means that it will help you to lose weight as long as you don't eat more food once you start exercising. The first rule of weight loss is if you expend more calories than you take in you will lose weight. There are no magical programs for weight loss. You could walk, jog, swim, lift weights, hike, vacuum your house, it doesn't really matter. You just need to burn more calories than you eat on a daily basis. For example, if you have a 500 calorie per day deficit (through exercise and nutrition) for 7 days in a row you will have a weekly total deficit of 3,500 calories. One pound of fat contains 3,500 calories, so you would have lost one pound of fat. So, the women's workout will definately help you lose weight because it is exercise! It will also help you become more toned because because of the type of movements that it asks you to do. If you combine this program with a quality nutrition program you will help to speed up the process of losing weight. I urge you to check out our nutrition section for more information. http://www.fitrex.com/nutrition.shtml
