The Question:

I am just starting a workout. I do dumbbell excersizes and use hand grips too. I have a problem. My right arm is significantly stronger than my left. With the grips, I can squeeze 10 times as reccomended with my right but barely 4 or 5 with my left. How do I build up my left faster so I can balance both arms out.
Thanks.

The Answer:

Interesting question. Here are two things you can do. First of all, perform one extra set of gripper repetitions on the days you use it. It is ok to do this type of training every day. The second thing you can do is to find a bar where you can hang. Yes, hang. Then, using your left arm, grasp the bar and hang for as long as possible. Do two sets of these “hangs” every other day, not daily. You will find your hand strength will start to balance out in about two weeks.
