Theraball Dumbbell Fly

This is a great flexibility exercise for the pectorals. Lie back on the ball until it is positioned comfortably under your back. Your upper torso should be parallel to the ground. Extend your arms so they are perpendicular to your torso. Your elbows should be slightly bent and the palms of your hands should be facing each other as you hold the Dumbbells. Inhale and slowly lower your arms down towards the ground. Be careful not to move too quickly. You don't want to overstretch your chest and shoulders during this exercise. Controlled stretching is the key! Now, exhale and squeeze your arms back up to the starting position. Performing exercises on the Theraball helps to develop better functional strength because many smaller muscle groups surrounding the prime movers will also be activated during the exercise. It takes a little practice to learn how to fully control your body when using a Theraball for any exercise!
