Why is America Online (AOL) or text-based email different for sending Fitrex.com pages?

When you send a page from Fitrex.com, it is by default sent in both plain text and HTML (World Wide Web) format so that most email clients can easily read the page. This allows email clients (Outlook Express, Netscape, Eudora, etc.) to display the information as it appears on the Fitrex.com Website in a web browser or view it in plain text format. If the client does not support displaying email in HTML format, there is a link included that can be pasted into a web browser. America Online, however, does not display email in this manner. In order to facilitate America Online's or text-based email clients, you can click the box above the 'Send this Page' button to prevent any HTML being sent in the email. The client will then receive a link that can be pasted into their web browser to view the page.
