How do I convert my weight and height from the metric system?

In the Fitrex workout engine we use the English system of pounds (lbs) for weight, and feet and inches for height. To convert from the metric system, use the following conversion factors:

1 kilogram (Kg) = 2.2 pounds (lbs)
1 centimeter (cm) = 0.3937 inches (in)

1 foot (ft) = 12 inches (in)

For conversion of your height, you should first figure out how many inches tall you are. For example, if you are 190 cm tall, then you are (190 x 0.3937) approximately 75 inches tall. Next, you must figure out how many feet are in 75 inches. In our example, 12 will go into 75 six (6) times, with 3 left over. This equates to 6 feet 3 inches in height. Another way to write this is 6'3" in height.

To convert your weight to pounds (lbs), simply multiply your weight in Kg by 2.2. For example, if you weigh 100 Kg, this converts to (100 x 2.2) 220 pounds (lbs).
